Design & Functionality
The paddle flow switch works by utilizing the force generated by liquid flow inside a pipe. When fluid begins moving through the pipeline, the paddle inside the switch shifts upward due to the pressure of the flowing liquid. This motion compresses an internal spring mechanism and moves a magnetic element toward a reed switch.
When the paddle reaches a certain angle, the magnetic field activates the reed switch, sending a signal that confirms liquid flow within the system. If flow stops or drops below the detection level, the paddle returns to its default position, causing the switch to reset and indicate a no-flow condition.
This simple yet effective mechanism ensures reliable flow detection without complex electronics.
Total Crossed Beams
The internal sensing mechanism ensures accurate switching by converting paddle motion into a magnetic switching action. This design minimizes false signals and ensures dependable monitoring of fluid movement across industrial piping networks.
Beam Pitch Options
The adjustable paddle length allows the switch to adapt to different pipe diameters ranging from small process lines to larger industrial pipelines. This flexibility makes it suitable for various system configurations and flow rates.
Intrinsic Synchronism
The paddle movement, spring compression, and magnetic actuation work in synchronized motion to deliver precise switching performance. This mechanical coordination provides consistent detection even in fluctuating flow conditions.
Operational Advantages
Industrial facilities rely on continuous fluid circulation for cooling systems, processing equipment, and energy generation. The SFX paddle switch provides an effective safeguard by detecting insufficient or interrupted flow conditions.
By integrating this switch into process pipelines, operators can prevent pump damage, protect heat exchangers, and maintain stable process performance. Its rugged design and low maintenance requirements make it a preferred solution for industrial flow monitoring in HVAC systems, petrochemical plants, power generation facilities, and food processing operations.
